Amy fills plays an integral role at Mesothelioma Hope helping guide patients and families through the often confusing and overwhelming steps following an asbestos-related cancer diagnosis.

“Answering patient questions, explaining options, and sometimes just listening to a patient and their loved one is the number one reason why I’m here.”

—Amy Fair, RN, Patient Advocate

Supported by 10+ medical assistants, other registered nurses, and a licensed practical nurse, Amy provides unwavering support that starts from when a patient is first diagnosed and continues throughout the progression of their disease.

Amy and her nursing team are here to help you:

  • Understand your specific diagnosis and treatment options
  • Connect with nearby mesothelioma specialists and cancer centers
  • Learn about available health care and financial assistance
  • Get answers to your questions and have your concerns addressed

Prior to joining Mesothelioma Hope, Amy spent 10 years focused on home health care. She compassionately cared for terminally ill patients who were battling many different types of illnesses. Amy recalls when she began working with mesothelioma patients over 20 years ago.

“I quickly realized how very rare and complex mesothelioma is, not only for the patient, but for their entire family. Acquiring knowledge is the first and, in my opinion, the most important step in dealing with a mesothelioma diagnosis.”

—Amy Fair, RN, Patient Advocate

Amy wants families impacted by mesothelioma to know how important it is to work with a specialized care team to find the right treatments for them. There have been many advances in the treatment of mesothelioma over the years, and with ongoing funding and research, we move closer each day to finding a cure.

Until that time comes, Amy is here to help mesothelioma patients and their loved ones in any way she can.
