Mesothelioma can be an incredibly isolating disease, but you don’t have to face it alone. Mesothelioma Hope is excited to announce the upcoming launch of a monthly online support group for people impacted by this rare cancer.
Mesothelioma Hope’s support group provides patients, family members, and caregivers an opportunity to connect with others and share information as they navigate their cancer journey.

“One thing that can make a mesothelioma diagnosis feel more manageable is having a community to support you. Our hope is to foster a space where patients and caregivers can share, connect, and feel less alone. We’re in this together.”
Our group will meet once a month in a secure video call, giving you an easy and reliable way to connect with others in the mesothelioma community without the need to travel.
A New Way to Connect, Share, and Heal
Our mesothelioma support group is intended to be a welcoming space for everyone to show up in whatever way feels most comfortable for them.
We’ll discuss topics like:
- Coping with the emotional and mental health effects of a diagnosis
- Handling daily life and practical challenges with mesothelioma
- Managing symptoms and side effects
- Navigating medical appointments
- Sharing the latest treatment research
Participants can share as much as they’d like or simply listen in on the conversation. Cameras are optional, and no one will be called on during the session.
Interested in joining? Sign up for our first session now. We’ll send you details on timing and how to join, so you don’t miss out on this opportunity to connect with the mesothelioma community.
The Importance of Mesothelioma Support Groups
Studies show that support groups provide significant psychological, social, and emotional benefits for mesothelioma patients and their caregivers. Spending time with other people impacted by mesothelioma provides a unique kind of support that friends and family, no matter how well-meaning, may not be able to provide.
Some of the key benefits of support groups include:
- Emotional comfort and stronger coping skills
- Helpful information and resources
- Improved quality of life
- Reduced stress and anxiety
By connecting with others who’ve been in your shoes, you can gain a sense of belonging and validation. Asbestos support groups can also provide practical advice and coping strategies for mesothelioma-specific challenges.
