Laura Wright is a journalist and content strategist with more than 15 years of professional experience. She attended college at the University of Florida, graduating magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in journalism in 2008. Her writing has been featured in The Gainesville Sun and other regional publications throughout Florida.

Before joining the team at Mesothelioma Hope, Laura spent several years in educational publishing as a writer and lead editor at Pearson Education and Full Sail University. Laura firmly believes in the power of content and storytelling to help build community and connect people with life-changing resources.

“Finding that source of hope and comfort at the right time can mean everything to someone facing a cancer diagnosis. My number one goal is to make Mesothelioma Hope the most trusted resource for patients and their families.”

Laura lives in Orlando, Florida with her husband and rescue dog. When she isn’t leading content strategy for Mesothelioma Hope, she enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with family.
